By boat you will see a different Sifnos

There is the Sifnos you see from the road, the Sifnos you walk through on the footpaths, and the Sifnos that can only be seen from the sea. This third one, if you have time and the weather is good, is very much worth it.

A day trip by caique or small boat is not only a chance to swim at beaches with no road access. It is a way to understand the island’s coastline, to see caves and hidden coves, and the colours changing when the sun falls on the rocks.

But remember something important: at sea, we do not decide; the weather decides. If the captain changes the route, he is not doing it to spoil your plans. He is doing it so that you have a good time safely. Trust him.

Take a hat, sunscreen, a second swimsuit and something warm for the return, because even in summer, in the afternoon on the boat, you will feel the cool air, even in August. I told you, so don’t blame me!
